Position: Kid’s on Main Director
Reports to: Senior Pastor and Kid’s on Main Board of Directors
Hours: Full Time
Job Summary
Supervise the overall operation of Kid’s on Main and be present and available to staff during school hours. Must maintain a level of professionalism and concern for the well being of our community’s children, staff and Church.
Qualifications
· Must possess a CDA/CCP certification, OR an Associate’s Degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education,
· Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with children or equivalent experience.
· Demonstrate leadership, problem solving, mentoring and effective communication skills
· The Director shall be a Christian with a love and concern for children and adults.
· Must pass a background check
Specific Duties
· Must be Ministry Safe trained
· Kid’s on Main Director is responsible to the Pastoral Staff and serve as a liaison to the Kid’s on Main Board of Directors committee.
· Kid’s on Main Director will attend the Kid’s on Main Administrative Board meetings.
· Must continue learning in additional workshops, seminars, conferences and training sessions yearly.
Administrative duties:
· Plan programs of education and care that are age appropriate so the child meets his/her full potential for growth both educationally and spiritually
· Oversee teachers in carrying out the daily education programs
· Responsible for making recommendations to the Kid’s on Main preschool committee for interviewing, hiring and terminating teachers.
· Act as liaison with church leaders to coordinate the effective use of school equipment, facilities and organization assets.
· Attend preschool Committee meetings to review budgets.
· Ensure all children’s files are updated, including health records, immunization records and emergency notification numbers.
· Ensure all staff and student files are updated in the current management system and maintain back up systems for all information.
Staffing duties
· Create and maintain weekly teacher/substitute schedules.
· Assist staff in scheduling and participating in educational advancement.
· Ensure teachers and staff maintain current certification in infant and child first aid and CPR.
· Lead reoccurring staff meetings.
Parent/child duties
· Be available and open to parents to discuss any concerns and needs including discipline and successes.
· Interact with children on a consistent basis

Hours: Part-time (15–20 hours weekly)—must have flexible hours
Vacation: 2 weeks per year
Job Summary
The Student Ministry Director plans, organizes, and implements youth activities for grades 7 through 12 to enable students to become growing disciples of Jesus Christ.
Qualifications
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· Must maintain a current vehicle licence.
· Must pass a background check.
· Must maintain a vital daily relationship with Christ.
· Demonstrate a strong skill set in leadership and mentoring of youth.
· Demonstrate a passion for working with youth and the ability to maintain consistent communication with students, parents, and the congregation.
· Proven ability to organize weekly programs, yearly trips, and fundraising initiatives
Specific Duties
· Must be Ministry Safe trained
· Provide a safe, loving, encouraging, and welcoming atmosphere for all youth and their families.
· Develop goals, objectives, and programming plans in coordination with youth leaders, parents, and the Pastor.
· Establish biblical themes appropriate for grades 7–12.
· Oversee all aspects of youth Sunday School, Wednesday night Bible Study, and Sunday evening activities.
· Recruit and train adult volunteers, ensuring all are Safe Sanctuary trained with complete background checks.
· Provide quarterly reports on ministry activities to the Administrative Board.
· Maintain active attendance records and conduct outreach to inactive members and visitors.
· Participate in staff meetings as directed by the Senior Pastor.
· Attend at least one personal development training course in youth ministry annually.
· Coordinate vacation requests with the Pastor at least two weeks in advance and ensure coverage for all youth activities during any absence.
